What are Match Montages and Squad Montages?
Match Montages lets you create longer-form content by sequencing moments from a single match. Squad Montages allow you to create a montage that includes not just your moments, but also those of your teammates from the same match. These features focus on optimizing the montage with the best possible moments available and they live under the Match History page.
What are Sequences, and how do they affect my montages?
Sequences are a function of the Career Montage creation flow (the traditional Allstar Montage). They determine the pacing, intro, outro, and b-roll. Some sequence types affect which moments you can choose, requiring a specific number of kills per type. Sequence types include Freeform, Rapid Fire IDGAF, Rapid Fire Snipers, Rapid Fire Deagle, and Rapid Fire 1-taps. Note: Sequences are not available for Match or Squad Montages at this time.
Why can't I select a sequence for my Match or Squad Montages?
Currently, sequence selections are not available for Match and Squad Montages. These montages are optimized with the best moments available, without sequence selection, ensuring the highest quality content.
Can I include moments from any game in my Match or Squad Montages?
You can create a Match or Squad montage based on a single specific match in Match History. If you are looking to include moments across all of your matches, you will want to generate a Career Montage, which can be done by clicking Montage on the navigation bar.
Can I choose to include only certain teammates in my Squad Montage?
Yes, when creating a Squad Montage, you have the flexibility to include moments from some or all of your teammates from the match. This allows you to customize the content based on your preferences.
Why can't I Remix Squad and Match Montages?
Remixing is not currently available for these montage types. We do plan to support remixing in the future. Stay tuned!
Where is my Match or Squad montage? My montage disappeared? I clicked 'Create', but no montage came through.
This may be due to the montage erroring out in our backend. Reach out to our support team at support@allstar.gg and we can investigate the issue.
